The New Grad Interviewing Coaching Package consists of four sessions, two 90-minute sessions and two 60-minute sessions (in person in New York City or via video conference from anywhere in the world).
You will complete a questionnaire prior to your first session so that Pamela can prepare a customized plan based on your background and goals. In the first session, Pamela will get to know you and work with you to establish goals & strategies for your time together.
You will also participate in a practice interview customized for your job target and Pamela will provide an assessment of your current interviewing style and identify areas to work on. You will be provided with a digital video recording of your mock interview.
Pamela will assign homework between sessions. After the first session, you will be assigned to complete the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessment online. This assessment will help you discover and/or clarify your career preferences and identify popular career paths for those with your personality type.
Other homework assignments might include revising your resume, working on interview stories to showcase your accomplishments, researching career directions, or networking.
In your second session, you will review the results of your Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment and discuss career paths and strategies that have worked for others with the same personality type.
You will also review your homework assignments and your progress since the last session. You will likely work with Pam on interview stories to demonstrate your strengths, and brainstorm with Pam about how to approach difficult questions and tricky topics.
You may also work on plans for identifying new job leads, researching new directions, following up on opportunities, or improving your networking skills.
In your third session, you will review progress toward your goals and address any challenges or weaknesses that are holding you back. Pamela will hold you accountable to your goals and help you address job search obstacles.
She will also continue to work with you on your interview speaking points, role play with tough interview questions, and help you practice your skills.
In your final session, you will role play a formal mock interview and Pamela will evaluate both your responses and your physical presence.
You will be provided with a digital video recording of your mock interview so you can track progress and review your best answers.
You will then work with Pam to address any remaining gaps in your interview technique and finalize your plan to move forward.
